«Glory» / Galerie Charlot 2016

This work is a lighthearted reflection on how to get ahead in life, and what lurks beneath the skin of those who do.  A model skyscraper stands silent and empty before the visitor, its lurid windows glowing and its workers gone for the night.  But a small video player reveals one ambitious executive still going about his business in the penthouse suite.  Although he gives the appearance of a CEO in total control, a telescope mounted in front of the building exposes the truth. When the visitor looks through it they see the raging beast within, the ultimate secret of his success.

Just because you climb the corporate ladder from the inside,
instead of scaling the walls from without, doesn’t mean
you’re any less of a beast.
