This interactive project plays with the connection between a corporeal object and an ethereal one.  A tangible wire cube waits at the corner of a video screen on which an animation will unfold.  The cube is filled with crumpled pieces of paper which symbolize the accumulated burdens of a lifetime.  At a touch from the visitor, a virtual copy of the cube floats upward, like a spirit leaving its body.  As the cube ascends, all the worries and hardships held inside simply fall away.  Now weightless, it drifts through the boundary of the afterlife, free from care.

Russia, 1939. A state run by terror. A population in despair.
But even in darkness threads of light are visible, in paper and ink.

Just because you climb the corporate ladder from the inside,
instead of scaling the walls from without, doesn’t mean
you’re any less of a beast.

Center of the Universe
Each of us is at the center of our own life, but when the universe
is infinite does it matter?
